Rosemary-Lemon Hummus
3/4 c. water
1/2 c. tahini (sesame seed) paste
6 garlic cloves
6 T. fresh lemon juice
1 T. extra-virgin olive oil
1 t. cumin (ground or whole seeds)
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. black ground pepper.
2 (19 oz.) cans of chick peas (garbanzo) rinsed and drained.
Fresh rosemary
Food process or blend until smooth. Add several sprigs (leaves) of fresh rosemary, more lemon and zested
lemon peel in--to taste. This tastes great with whole wheat pita bread.
